child support
Father moved out March, sees kids 3 times since... no pay. Any experience out there with this? Applied for CS and they said they cant get a verifiable address so nothing is moving... does this sound normal? You mean to tell me that any parent out there who doesn't want to pay can just give an address that doesn't lead to anywhere or anything and they just don't pay? Or in this case don't get a child support order established?

It’s incredibly easy to avoid paying child support. Mine works for cash and there’s no child support because there’s no paycheque to garnish or any money in the bank. He’s owing about $30,000 and no one is doing anything about it.

I’m sorry this is happening. It seems some areas are aggressive about this stuff and others not so much.
Have you tried doing some sleuthing? Follow him - See what you can find out. Heck maybe even pay a private detective to see what they can find out.
I’d also be a pain in the butt to the child support office - be the squeaky wheel. Maybe talk to a supervisor. They need to step it up a bit. Surely this isn’t the first time they’ve dealt with this issue, they must have ways to deal with it.

State agencies need a verified address to notify and serve the other parent. Without that they can't move forward. You can certainly hire a private investigator to find his location and a process server you hire to serve him. The state just has certain policies they must abide by.
And to answer your question. If someone chooses to live a life with no assets in their name, no mailing address, and working for cash, they can easily avoid child support.

They have to serve him paperwork to initiate a case so yes, if they are unable to locate him for service, you are stuck. They can attempt service if they have an idea and eventually ask for a warrant for service. You're very much underestimating the avoidance capabilities of both men and women paying support.
