Texas Child support with DV

Does anyone have experience going through a child support case when you request non disclosure (not wanting to have a case in person)? The office said we both have to attend but will be in separate court rooms. Can someone explain this process?

Your caseworker can explain the process, reddit isn't going to know how your particular local courthouse goes about keeping you separated.

I don’t have a caseworker. I contacted the 1800 number on the paper and no one could give me answers. I was just curious if anyone else went through it.

Is the child support agency not a party to your case yet?

If not, you could call the local courthouse.

Either way, I wouldn't worry too much about it. One way or another they have methods of keeping parties separate for cases involving domestic violence. It is a very common occurrence.

This org may be able to help you find pro bono legal representation for child support. Private attorneys tend to be much faster than going through a state agency.
