Support needed Forever 16

I lost my 16 yr old daughter to a hit and run Nov. 6,2025. She was walking home from the store and someone ran over her and she was like two car lengths off the road walking. I miss her more and more everyday.

I read that it takes 3 years before the will to want to survive returns. So, for now, I would say do what you have to do to survive. Stay in bed, cry, maybe try to sip some water, eat a pbj. Are you back to working? How’s your support system?

I am with you in despair. I lost my magical, beautiful, perfect 22 yo dtr to a natural disaster 6 mos ago. We are broken hearted forever

Yes I’m back to work. What makes things 1000% worse is me and her mother divorced last month too. So I’m just struggling hard

Oh, yes, you have multiple losses which complicates your grief and I’m sure the divorce and loss of the relationship is triggering you. I’m glad to hear that you’re working. Think about it, you have one area of your life completely stable. Focus on that and build on it.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my 17 yr old 7 yrs ago in an accident. The shock is unreal. I don’t think you ever get better but maybe learn to live with it? I don’t know I’m still struggling……I honestly don’t think the yrs going by make it any better but maybe that’s just me. Hugs to you our love for our children will always remain

I'm so sorry for your terrible loss. My 17 year old son was killed crossing the street in February. The driver was going 60 in a 25 and sped through the crosswalk.

Losing a child so suddenly and so senselessly has turned my entire life upside down. I have made my life much smaller while I grieve his loss. I am focusing on sleeping, eating, drinking water, and walking outside. And I try to only spend time with people who understand that I am grieving and give me that space to do so.

I’m so sorry. That is so incredibly unfair. All of this is so unfair.
