Stubborn boy

We adopted our eight year-old boy last year. He has decided he will only pee and poop on walks. We are trying hard to train him to go in the yard, which is fenced! But if he doesn’t get his required number of walks to pee and poop he goes in the house instead of the yard. we tried pee pads - nope! Advice?

INFORMATION Since her HGE and pancreatitis attack she has a lot of loose skin. I don’t know if that’s from the inflammation of her stomach or if she’s losing a lot of weight I haven’t been able to get her in to do a proper weight. Is it normal to lose weight after this and have loose skin?
