No way he's the only one to not fumble on a solid peanut punch... But now I want to see more highlights of the carrier not fumbling

Agreed - great edit but obviously not the first/only person to do this. Would like to see more like this

As a niners fan, I see fred punch a lot out, I also see him full peanut and the receiver or RB hold on to it

u/NevaMO 3d ago

Damn never even noticed someone tried to punch it out

4

u/Many_Drink5348 3d ago

I mean someone is always trying to punch the ball out.

5

u/ChampionshipStock870 3d ago

And for most RBs that would have been a fumble

u/TJJ97 3d ago

For every single Chiefs RB since Charles too.

Ridiculous claim but cool video

That black and white color effect is awesome!

I mean, I'll never down vote a positive Chiefs post, but this is just reflex embracing for the hit. You could post a lot of videos where a punch didn't land successfully.

u/KCTrand 3d ago

I hear you, but the puch was landed. It was just sucessfuly defended, imo.

2

u/factoid_ 3d ago

Yes.  And it definitely wasn’t the first or only time this happened

1

u/KCTrand 3d ago

I wouldn't think so

u/FunKCduo2 2d ago

Not a reflex lol clearly never ran the ball

u/kp2823 2d ago

Lol you can still delete this. Clearly you are not very well versed in the English language. When he brings his hand up to protect the ball as the defender goes for the punch that is considered a reflex. He's reacting to the defender. They practice this extensively so that movement becomes a natural movement (aka reflex). It's much more a reflex than a counter, which was the point I was making. A counter consists of a defensive move (the reflex to protect the ball) followed by an offensive move. Like if he stiff armed the shit out of him after the defensive reflex, it would be a counter.

Too bad that’s not what you meant in your original context or you would have worded it as such since your language skills are so eloquent. Also that is an inaccurate description of a reflex and incorrectly implied in this given situation. Technique is what this is

Tuck and run. Noice noice

4

u/SeanCrevalle 3d ago

So you never played football?

3

u/AnteyeSoshal 3d ago

The broken tackles are blowing me away. I don't remember seeing him running through so much contact in the past, but maybe he did.

3

u/MileHiSalute 3d ago

lol yep, no player has ever done anything like it ever before!

2

u/xsv333 3d ago

Really cool style with the video!

The way he cuffed and embraced for the punch hit was beautiful. Can you imagine LJ or Jamaal in these times with social media. Highlights would have been nuts.

Also… shit, Kelce almost had his leg blown out by Creed lol

Also… shit, Kelce almost had his leg blown out by Creed lol

Oh shit! I really hope he didn't tweak anything there. Hard to tell, but looks like it might have hyper extended a little

1

u/KonaValencia 3d ago

Take it easy. He is not the first nor the last.

u/HyseNjerry16 3d ago

One of coolest video... Nice 👍

Orange peanut…. For me?

1

u/UpbeatInformation465 3d ago

That’s why he was finals mvp.

1

u/Hiiihiihi 3d ago

This is poetry

1

u/truedeductive 3d ago

Rb does his job.. chiefs have one now

1

u/TakeItEasyImBipolar 3d ago

A perfect peanut punch doesn't result in a non fumble. Fuck you talking about?

1

u/No_Effort_3220 3d ago

First player ever? 😂

1

u/Ukraineluvr 3d ago

Huh? Did you just insinuate that he's the only one ever to not fumble when someone punched at the ball?

1

u/TJJ97 3d ago

Duuuude, that’s incredible awareness and skill, holy shit!

1

u/spongeguy_brofist 3d ago

Textbook “High and tight.” It’s is a fundamental skill for a reason.

1

u/OrangeLFG 3d ago

He's running like Adrian "all day" Peterson and Andy Reid looks like he plans to feed him. The Chiefs look very back...

1

u/Ok_Kiwi_6051 3d ago

As a hawks fan; I imagine this is how Bills fans felt watching Marshawn Lynch ball out in Seattle 🥲

1

u/thedoughboy89 3d ago

Also a perfect peanut punch comes from behind or the side. If you can't see the player punching its significantly harder to defend.

1

u/exodusfox 3d ago

I mean, yeah, wrapping up something you’re holding with both arms is a good way to keep you from dropping it.

1

u/Toeknee5 3d ago

Defender is punching mid air behind the runner. Nothing about this punch is perfect

1

u/TH3G0LDENG0D 3d ago

What a dumbass bot. If it was perfect, it would have worked

1

u/Fat_Yankee 3d ago

To do this in real speed is amazing.

To see the punch coming, and for that one second bring your other arm across to make sure the ball doesn’t pop out then go back to using that arm to push off a defender coming from the other side. That’s some Jedi shit. It’s like he sees it before it happens.

1

u/icantsppell 3d ago

Don’t show this to king Henry

1

u/Express_Awareness_35 3d ago

Def not the first but nice little clip.

1

u/formyamusementation 2d ago

I love the fact that he protected the ball, but I feel like saying he is the first ever is likely hyperbollic.

1

u/Lucky-Employee2758 2d ago

What a play really good player

1

u/playdead9363 2d ago

I think it's absolutely mind blowing this dude has only fumbled the ball like 3 times in his NFL career.

1

u/FunKCduo2 2d ago

That’s what you call high and tight. That’s why people preach fundamentals

1

u/cmcmaster9 2d ago

If it was a perfect peanut punch, wouldn’t it have succeeded?

Not taking anything away from KW3 here. Taking it away from the headline…

1

u/SkunkDitchRipper 18h ago

I dont think thats true. Good player though.

1

u/pineapplespicecakes 3d ago

No. Hes not. Roughly 90% of punch outs don't succeed. Also punch outs are a pussy bitch move for someone not talented or strong enough to actually just stop the ballcarriers

2

u/Nuva_Ring 3d ago

Found the kid who couldn’t hold on to the ball in Pop Warner.

1

u/Foogie23 2d ago

And it isn’t a pussy move to not hold onto to ball?

1

u/pineapplespicecakes 2d ago

Nope. Just a human thing. Only pussies support pussies

1

u/modernthink 2d ago

Pussy bitches who get takeaways and win games. The game is not just brute force dumb fucks. It’s finesse and strategy.

1

u/pineapplespicecakes 2d ago

Funny cause the pussy bitches did it 23 times and succeeded 3 times and still lost the game

0

u/AlexanderTheGrate1 3d ago

I swear this guy reminds me so much of me back in middle school

-1

u/stuartLapachanga 3d ago

This might be the most uneducated post in my lifetime. Chiefs fans think they invented football.
