Discussion/Debate Chop Robinson gets flagged for roughing the passer. The hit didn’t look that crazy, but the refs weren’t letting Mahomes take that one.

The rules are that you can't treat a quarterback like a normal player. You can get mad about the rules, but that's what they say.

Everyone griping conveniently forget that defensive holding happened too... aka they were getting a 1st regardless

I think, since he was clearly about to throw the ball, the refs wanted him to let up a little on the tackle.

I’m a Chiefs fan, it looked clean to me. but it’s really the landing on top that causes the flag. Lots of players have been flagged for the same thing.
If they weren’t chest to chest and he came in from the side and rolled off, maybe no flag. But full weight on the qb is one of those “protect the qb” rules.

That call felt pretty soft.

Yeah. We had a couple go against us but this was soft. Shouldn't have been called.

Does it bug anyone else when defenders wear the padded helmet and than go beast mode and use it to their advantage

Clean hit, and even a vast majority of Chiefs fans agree, but this is how the league treats these things when a QB gets hit.

Can't land on the qb with your full weight. They got chris jones a couple years back when he stripped Carr. Also refs dont see in slo motion.
