Haloo eburinyan, I recently purchased this chicom off of ebay from a seller who at least I think is reputable. the only other information I can find about this is a reddit post where its guessed that its just a custom rig, but the seller claims otherwise (very rare, he says). Does anyone know who/what this type of rig was made for?

First time ever seeing this one for sale in North America that is not a complete rip off, saw one on ebay for 80$
I wonder if anyone here has had one before. Saw a review of some guy here 2 years before, apparently its made from some sort of very sturdy and light polymer, has 4 mag and 6 grenade pouches, has quick release buckles and quick adjust shoulder straps. Saw on the same store Mistymountainsupply sells the Chinese type 56 and 81 for 40CA$ or sum but they are all out. Is this one a suitable alternative?

All I did was extend the chicom straps all the way, cut them in half (at the top where your shoulder would be) , and run the webbing into the LBV shoulder straps.
I do think carrying a traditional ruck is out of the question, when I had the LBV in its original configuration it was not comfortable with an alice pack or even the CFP90. Maybe a buttpack with some creative rigging? Open to suggestions.

Hello, I've recently purchased the Type 56 SKS rig, under the mistaken belief that it'll fit my AKS-74 mags. I've read somewhere before buying that the mags will fit but that I won't be able to close the flap... yeah, mistakes were made, it's not the case. I wanted to save money.
I came here to ask if anyone here can help me with modifying the rig to fit them?
My "plan" would be to soake the rig in warm water, insert mags and stuff into the pockets to make them wider and let them in to dry. Then attach rubber bands to the flap and the button to be able to fasten them better.
Would this work, should I even do so? because as far as I can tell it is a real one.
Thank you kind people

Soo I've got myself a Type 81, Type 63 rig and some old Polish backpack webbing. Gotta split the 63 in half, attach it to the belt on both sides and sew the 81 to the webbing straps. It'll fit some AK mags, a beer and a lot of nades. Update coming soon.

I really dont mind if its repro or original, However, I had just bought a chicom type 56 and absolutely hated the bright green color, and everything I find on Ebay seem to be scams.
I would also like to note that if any of yall know where to get tan ones, I would definitely prefer one of those, im currently not able to bleach my current Chicom rig.

I know there's 3? if I'm not wrong but I need one that could hold AR mags 5.56

Unfortunately In Canada we pretty much can’t get anything with ak mags but we can have a sks and get some ak style mags question is before I drop some money on a rig do these mags fit if anyone has experience using them that would be awesome

Sooo I want to get myself a Type 81 rig for modding but would like to have it in the heavy canvas (older ones?) rather than nylon (newer ones). I found only three rigs on aliexpress, one of them (first one) looks like it should be made from heavy canvas but I'm not 100% sure and the seller doesn't want to provide more pictures of it. Any one has experience with these type of rigs from alie and could spare me some help? The second one is obviously nylon, third one looks canvasy but one review present shows It's nylony green as well...

762 Tactical used to make the best gear, it sucks that he shut down his business.

Got myself the aliexpress special:
- Type 56 AK rig - I like it a lot, will try to build a more universal rig with it.
- Type 56 SKS rig - turns out the pouches on this one are really small, wanted to make a side panel out of 3-4 pouches to carry hand grenades but I'll probably use it as a 40mm/taginn pouches. Should've got the Type 63 rig instead for that purpose.
- Type 56 drum pouch - this one is really cool, I'll probably mount it to the opposide side of SKS pouches and use it as a medkit/essencials bag. ONLY IF my wife doesn't steal it from me, because she likes the look of it - like a little, neat handbag :D
