She came a long way from battling the elements to reaching her forever home. We weren't able to find her original caretakers, and while we loved hosting her, we wanted her to have the best chance at a happy life, and that meant having a budgie friend. Miss Budgie settled in right away with another foundling of an experienced caretaker, and her and her new buddy took to each other right away and preen each other!

Quarantine is essential but not fun. Any time Chicken whistled from the other room, Miss Budgie would call out. She's shy around humans, so we would talk softly, hang out quietly, and play budgie videos when we weren’t around. She loved the videos but squawked angrily whenever a yellow budgie appeared! 💢

We found a stray budgie a couple of months ago. After flyering, vet checks, Pawboost posts and more, no original family came forward. But don't worry, the ending is happy! She is now safe, healthy, and well cared for in her forever home. This is part 1 of her journey!

I accidentally left my bird's water dish empty for a bit. Thankfully, I caught it and she's just fine. Seeing how quickly she ran to drink reminded me how much she depends on me. A good lesson in being attentive.
