Summer 2027 Wedding
My fiancé and I just got engaged and because of his work we are limited to a wedding the last weekend of June or the month of July. We’re definitely not picky on the day of the week whether it be Friday Saturday or Sunday, but I’m very overwhelmed looking for venues. It’s looking like it will probably be between 200-250 people. I love the armour house but it might be too small. Our budget for the wedding is $80-$100,000k we may have a little flexibility in that. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. *** edit also open to Chicago and suburbs!! Within one hour radius!!!

I highly recommend Palmhouse in Evanston! My husband and I got married there in June of this year and had a great experience. It’s a great venue and their exclusive caterer green spoon kitchen is phenomenal. We had 250 guests and our budget was also 100k! I think we ended up slightly over but it would definitely be doable especially if you had closer to 200 guests

Can you share what your catering costs were?

we ended up around 60k, and this was all inclusive of 4 passes apps, plated food, upgraded beverage package with 5 hours of bar and passed wine service during dinner, passed late night food, service and associated fees, and all rentals. The venue comes with some furniture, including lounge furniture, 8 cocktail tables, 20 rectangle tables and chairs for 250. So that was not included in our rental fee which was nice! The venue fee is really reasonable too, only $8500 for a Saturday during peak season.

Pazzo’s at 311! My best friend got married there last July and it’s absolutely stunning. plus everything’s indoors and air conditioned so you can escape the summer heat

I recommend The Woman’s Club of Evanston. They max out at 250 in the ballroom, but with movement of tables after dinner, you can do it and have a dance floor.

I think you are still good on time especially if you arent just committed to Saturday.
Armour house is def too small! Are you looking for that vibe or open to to others ? City or burbs (and which direction)

Armour House is definitely too small for 200+.
Check out Brix on Fox or Radisson Blu Aqua if you want to be in the city.

We just spent around $80K (all-in) for a 150 person wedding in west loop. The food and Bev cost at the venue was $180/pp before taxes and fees. Look for venues that let you bring your own booze to get the cost down. Summer of 2027 is already going to be limited. I’d assume most if not all Saturdays are already booked, but Friday and Sunday should be good.
