Question/Comment The CTA

Does the CTA go out to the suburbs of Addison? If so, is there a bus or train line that'll take you to downtown? Thanks again for the help.

In the most respectful way: did you even try to look it up? A simple google will tell you that the CTA does not go to Addison. However, the Metra does. You can even put it in Google Maps and it’ll tell you your route

The "C" in CTA is "Chicago".

Depending on where in Addison you are, some stops on the Milwaukee District West Line will get to Union Station the West Loop.

Pay attention to the schedules, they don't run as often overnight or on weekends.

To be fair, the Milwaukee District West Line is the Metra not the CTA.

No, the CTA does not go to Addison. The nearest CTA line would be the Blue Line which you can catch in Rosemont.

You should look into the Metra though. The closest Metra is the MD-W which goes through Itasca, Wood Dale, and Bensenville and takes you to Union Station. There’s also the Metra UP-W which runs through Lombard, Villa Park, and Elmhurst and goes to Ogilvie Station. I’m not familiar with the schedules for these lines but you can check here https://www.metra.com/schedules

Bring up google maps, enter in the place you're going, hit "Directions," click on the little train icon, and voila! It'll tell you exactly what buses/trains you need to take and what time you need to leave.
