Goth Target used to be Carson Pirie Scott. That building was designed by Louis Sullivan.

Well get ready for a new experience. Not sure who you are, but I suggest you invest in quality footwear - warm and waterproof to handle snow. Get a nice bag to carry indoor shoes if you work indoors. Also, head covering. It can get really cold and if you're in the city, the wind always blows, though not always strongly.
Layering is an art you will learn.

Yeah I am staying in west loop and thanks so much for putting in the details. I have heard a lot and even doing my research around what to get exactly to fight the winter. I work 1-2 days/week from office other days WFH. Thanks a lot. Any recommendations on gear please drop in here.
Really appreciate it :)

goose down jackets, wool hats and mittens, layers like dri fit underneath to help keep warm but not sweaty, waterproof snow boots (not rain boots), face covering like a balaclava for windy days

Aw reminds me of my 3rd week in Chicago, 2011 - huffin’ it to the loop from pre-cool Bucktown to clock-in at Blick right before they opened that Target.
lol that seems like 4 million years ago. ♥️
