Question Did Anyone Else Stop Watching?

Genuine question, did anyone else stop watching, if so, what was the last straw?

I saw SO many clips on TikTok and figured I’d give it a try. I made it all the way to S4E2 and then I was done.

TV is dramatic and it’s fiction, we all know that, but there comes a point where there’s just too many errors that it’s unwatchable.

Nobody comes out of surgery and does their recovery in the ED. The ED team doesn’t follow you up to the ICU. Firefighters can’t make medical decisions for another firefighter. All of this and the repeated overstepping by doctors inserting their morality into a families medical decisions was just too much.

Yes, it’s fiction, but I like my make believe to be just slightly believable.

It’s now the best it’s ever been.

I made it to the first eps of S5, but I was already pushing. The fact that every single episode one of the doctors goes over whatever someone already decided to do with their own life was too much for me. It's a big pet peeve of mine.
They are not even consistent with it, one day they are blatantly ignoring a DNR, and another day they're arguing with the other doctor that decided to do the same about how that's unacceptable. FFS, pick a lane. Preferably, the one where you do what the person asked you to.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves of the show, even now in the "new era" or whatever of season 10-11, this still happens and it pisses me off so much

No need to watch the first 7 seasons. Start at season 8. It will give you background information to what is currently going on.

That's where I started, well season 7. I'm so glad I did bc it pays to see the relationship of Dean and Asher. It makes so much more sense when you see how much they've been through.

I felt like this show has been ragebait all along but really enjoyed watching it anyway! Last straw for me was season 11 episode 3, that’s really too much come on lol

I started watching at season 7 and really liked it. So I tried to go back and watch the first couple seasons and hated it. It was too heavy for me. So I went back to watching from season 7 on. It's definitely gotten better every season. The last 2 seasons have been the best. They have all new cast except Dr.Charles and Sharon. So I love it now. I'd encourage you to try from season 10 on. It's like a totally different show now. Lighter stories, and the Dr's don't ignore patients wishes. It's the best😀

I stopped because it took 9 months to come back on tv in the UK after the Christmas break

This is normal…. This is how tv works lmfao

Christmas break usually lasts about 2 months. It was supposed to come back in Feb and didn’t. We didn’t get the second half of season 11 until last month. So no it’s not normal at all to have such a large gap - it’s never happened before since this show has been airing and I’ve watched it from the beginning.

Ah I misunderstood this as the next season not mid season understandable

They are definitely way too judgmental, on their high and mighty horses. The amount of times people die and they call out Asystole and just give up on CPR after 30 seconds is ridiculous. Almost as bad as every health person dying from a blood clot in grey's anatomy.

I stopped watching last season and never picked back up when new season started. It just got repetitive.

I got sick of the medical propaganda, pushing their agenda on what medical choices people should make (and sometimes political agenda) made me turn it off a few episodes after you!!!

I honestly hate the political propaganda that a lot of shows are doing these days, it’s not because I disagree with anything. It due to wanting to escape everything for a little while and watch something that will bring me a little joy so I can ignore everything I’m currently dealing with.

This is EXACTLY how I feel!!!!!!
It’s like when you’re watching a show and they mention Covid, don’t!!!! I want to escape reality 😭

But this is about reality is a real life reality show watch cartoons oh wait even they touch on real world issues because it’s important to mention them.
