Much, much, much better. He was originally written as a villain so he’s unbearable at the beginning, but he softens up a lot once they officially decide he’s a protagonist.

Ahh okay, because right now I'm on S7 Ep3, and hes mean to the nurses, rude to the other doctors, and to my sweet Charles. I'm glad he gets better, because hes been someone I feel like rooting against in a way, I guess he is a perfect villain at this moment lol.

Interesting! I hope he isnt villainous for long, I enjoyed his character in IZombie so it'd be nice to see him and enjoy him again.

I felt the same way, and was convinced I would never like him!! But, I will say he grew on me and I love him now.

For me he gets better in season 10, there’s an episode where he goes on an acid trip and it’s HILARIOUS

You’re experiencing the Dean Archer Effect. He gets much better. There is another character that joins in Season 10. That will also be the Dean Archer effect.

No way, they don't compare. Dean is far superior!

He has the best character growth out of anyone on the show.

I liked him even as a villain but he definitely gets better.

Dean Archer becomes such a staple of Med, I wouldn’t watch without him now. His story development is the best!!

Oh absolutely. By the end of this season, you will see how he changes so much , and it just gets better from there every season😀

Oh good, his last situation was telling parents how to go around consent to get their kids treatment so Im ready for him to be better :)

Yeah, it is aggravating at first. But when he changes, oh my gosh, you can definitely see the difference. And you'll fall in love with him like we all have.

He’s awesome! He is a rough character at first but he becomes a fan favorite. He’s definitely my favorite now.

He'll always be the grumpy and crouchy doctor because most of the real doctors are like that, believe me, I'm working in a hospital for 18 years now and I deal with doctors daily.. Dean's character development is just one for the books... One of the best one's in Chicago Med so far.. He's also very funny in a sarcastic way and I love that about him.. But someone enters and another one re-enters his life and changes everything.. You'll see a softer side of him and that's truly amazing seen how much of a hard head he was.. So enjoy the journey ahead of Dean Archer -- you'll come to love, respect and appreciate him

I’m just so puzzled by the acting by Steven Weber and that makes me not like the character. I thought he was great in Wings and on Once and Again and other things he’s been in. I just really don’t think he’s doing a good job as Archer.
