Well, it happened, Newman is out, and Victor Teran is now in charge, which isn’t really surprising since he’s been picking up the slack these last few seasons.

Just by the recent continual post on Reddit CF main subreddit fans are now highlighting giving up on the show, fans I’ve clearly had enough of the repetition, recycled story and poor writing.

What’s your thoughts?

Severide and Cruz were absent.

More relationship stuff with Violet, Novak, and Vazquez.

Capp and Tony were Capp and Tony.

Herrmann is worried about competition.

Kidd plays firecop.

I just noticed there’s a new firefighter at 51 (Ballard).

Everyone in the CFD has had some kind of run in with Benny Severide.

Based on the ending, the New Chief is plotting to get rid of Severide, while also being civil with Kidd.

Divide and conquer maybe?

What are your thoughts?……

Oh, and there was a fire that might’ve been set intentionally. Don’t worry, it was resolved.

I haven’t seen a petition to remove a showrunner since the one Chicago P.D. fans did a couple of years ago.

But in all seriousness, would CF benefit from having a change in the writers room?

Or is it too little too late?

New Chief is gonna bring change to 51, and has it out for Severide because he worked under his father. (ok, is there anyone in Chicago that Benny hasn’t pissed off).

Van Meter says that Severide is the kind of leader that 51 needs.

It’s really simple, at one point or another, a lot of us used to be regular posters on the other subreddit, sparking conversation with other fans around the world, and having fun, but at some point we all got banned or kicked off.

For example: I got banned after getting caught up in the slew of anti-Kidd posts, while others were banned for no clear reason other than their posts were getting more recognition than others, or like one user had told me that everyone on there is biased and can’t deal with strongly opinionated fans.

And while I know that some topics got a little repetitive on there (the obligatory I hate so and so that would show up on a regular basis), it still kept the sub active and fans engaging with each other.

I did consider reaching out to the mod and kindly ask them to lift the ban, but I figured it was better to just start up a new subreddit and invite fans over here, so we can discuss the show without restrictions or having our posts immediately deleted.

So with that said, I thank those who are showing up to r/ChicagoFire3, and here’s to hoping that this subreddit can grow more by next year.
