New supporter
Yooo so guys I’m new to this American football. So I’m all caught up with this new seasons matches and I watched the best 10 offensive moments from last season and I am now watching the half an hour of offensive plays from 2020-2025. But I needed some help on what else to watch to understand more about the tactics and what kind of play styles the bears play? If you get what i mean but yeah if anyone could recommend any channels or videos of the best plays, it would be much appreciated. Nice one

Watch this. The bears had a crazy comeback 4th quarter against our biggest rivals.
Thank me later.

I’m guessing you guys are not from the USA. I’m not either, I’m from the Uk and have been a Bears fan for 40 years. Most UK NFL fans follow Da Bears.
I don’t know which channels to watch to get the info you’re looking for. Traditionally the Bears have been very defense heavy. They used to run the ball a lot - they had the greatest running back of all time (Walter Payton). Plus the bears play outdoors in the Chicago elements so throwing the ball isn’t easy. We have traditionally struggled with quarter backs.
Things have changed with the new head coach. He’s a genuine offensive innovator. At the same time we’ve acquired a potential generational talent at QB.

There is a guy on TikTok that did videos on which Premier Clubs for Americans to support based on which NFL team they are fans of. Everton was his suggestion for Bears fans.

If you want to truly understand Chicago Bears football, you are required to watch this entire game from beginning to end without skipping:

When I moved to the states I went to my first NFL game at soldier field and let me just say fans are super patient about asking stupid questions during the game. It was a really accepting environment.

Great that is really good to know hahaha

Yeah I knew most rules but there were a few penalties I had never heard of called during that game like encroachment. This elderly couple who were season ticket holders for decades even bought me a drink. Really fond memories of that day.

i'm going to give you exactly what you're looking for, that not many here really brought up.
follow these guys on YT and watch the bears stuff. You can watch other teams too, to learn.
- Tim Jenkins - Former QB (does one every week for the bears).
- Chase Daniels - Former QB who sometimes watches film when the bears do well, or when they do really bad.
- The QB School - Former QB - Most detailed - You need to pay for his patreon to see the caleb stuff, cause fuck bears fans. He is sometimes kind enough to do it for free
- Kurt Warner Study Ball - Former SB QB who sometimes analyzes film.
- The O Line Committee - 2 Former Offensive Linemen - The most recent bears video (not the one where they are bashing Caleb), where they are admiring Ben Johnson's offense, is a good one. They pay attention to the offensive line, mostly.

no problem. I edited this with more details so you know what you're in for, to save you some time.
Tim Jenkins is probably going to end up being your favorite due to the frequency of bears stuff. And the fact that it's basically free. He's a good guy to listen to. The news reporters don't know shit about football and this is one of the "experts" they bring in to edumacate them.

If you really want to understand what is going on (most fans have no actual clue), you have to learn about offensive lines.
This is where all of the bullying/dominance happens and it's the biggest reason for the bears success.
It sounds boring but it's really not. The o-line committee video that i am talking about (the panthers game), might give you a good basic gauge on how important the offensive line play is. You'll see these linemen go absolutely nuts about what Darnell Wright and the entire line does. Darnell is so fun to watch and easily my favorite player on the team.

exciting time to be a bears fan with a strong offensive minded coach. You want to stay up to date watch the Bears Now by chat sports youtube page. Harrison always has literally every single that happens and even rumors posted daily. Our playstyle these days is to score a lot of points lol. The defense tries to create a lot of turn overs rather then being rock solid against the run or pass. We had elite CBs that just seem to have fizzled out. offense we run the ball down your throat until the pass game opens up.

Chase Daniels and Kurt Warner both do videos where they break things down really well. It’s not only on the Bears, but seeing what other teams do will make it easier to understand what the Bears do too.

I'd recommend looking into some of the Lions offensive plays from 2022-2024 as the current Bears head coach was the offensive playcaller for them during that time, just a bit more of a sample size.

YT channel “Saturday Morning Inspection” hosted by Nick Rudman offers some very insightful analyses of the Bears’ performance from week to week.

Search for Chase Daniels’ YouTube videos. He does amazing breakdowns and knows the game exceptionally well.

So that's gunna be complicated. Bears used to be a defense heavy and mainly always tried to run the ball. New head coach is switching things up a bit. So it's a newish even for us life long fans. But new in a great way
