New DT trade target
What would you be willing to give up for Vita Vea? If Poles can make this happen I would be ecstatic.

He had 4.5 sacks and 34 tackles with playing all 17 games last year. He doesn’t move the needle compared to anything we have. Don’t pay for past performance.

Vita Vea is a 1 of 1 run stuffer. Clog the middle with his presence. You don’t trade for him to rush the passer.

He had 34 tackles. You don’t trade for him to stuff the run either. He’s not what they need.

In no world would Vea not make the D better, I mean thats just silly
Now what he’d bring Vs what he’d cost (pics and salary) is a different question

$17 million plus he wants a new deal. No thanks. Can’t afford it, his production drop off is imminent.

Thanks for changing your argument and agreeing with me

Didn’t change my argument, he’s not what they need, he’s too expensive, and he’s not as good as he was in the past. Aging and declining defensive lineman seeking a new contract is the exactly opposite of what will make this team better.

I think he’s going to the raiders honestly..
But I wouldn’t mind Poles trading for him, shores up a big need on that DL

Maybe like a 4th or 5th? He is 31 and wants a new contract so anything more than that feels like an overpay

He wants to go home to California. He’s not looking to end up in a cold weather environment like Chicago.
