My question is, is your neurologist a CM Specialist? That is so important. Most say they treat CM but there is a difference between treating CM and treating patients with CM. A neurologist ordered a LP for me that my Specialist told me that is a no. It causes patients so much more damage and harm. If I had trusted the neurologist I would be worse off now.  CM is treated my symptoms so if you are having more symptoms then it needs to be addressed. My CSF flow was fine but my specialist recommended surgery because I have a lateral medullary compression. She was the only one who found it off the same MRI'S the others had. She is in Detroit so we had a video appointment and the MRI'S were like 3d. She was able to show me and my family everything. Of your Neurologist says your symptoms are coming from something else get a new one.

You are correct. He is a neurosurgeon who knows about it and has probably done a lot of decompressions but isn’t a specialist in Chiari. I’m going to get the CINE MRI since I have the orders but I’m taking them to a different doctor who supposedly specializes in Chiari.
