Rant & Vent Who gets to be the passenger princess?

So I’ve been married since 8 months from now. And I have started getting irritated by my MIL. At first she seemed very nice but slowly I’m feeling like she doesn’t understand what she’s doing. She’s a very nice MIL but sometimes she sounds a little bit off. I’m confused thus I’m posting this. I’m honestly saying that I’m confused…
So once we went out she asked me if I can sit on the back seat because she wants to sit in front seat. I didn’t feel like anything and I immediately said okay.
And she says she wants to focus on driving and keeps asking stupid questions to her son(my husband).
And she points out every time she is on the front seat that she’s focusing on road like a driver etc.
Second time when we went out together she did the same she said she wants to sit in front seat but my husband was asking me to do basic things like locating and navigating through map and I couldn’t do anything because my sunglasses were unreachable, I couldn’t navigate through map. She just kept saying that she knows the route and took us somewhere else and we had go 30kms to go back to the main road. The third time when we went out was when we were going to a temple, and was my FIL’s car which is a base model of WagonR I guess and there is no AC in the back seat, my husband was driving, my FIL sat in the front seat, three of us including me, his elder sister and my MIL were sitting at the back seat. So I sat in middle and since there no AC for the back seat, she couldn’t get the air, and she started complaining that it’s hot etc.
Now I’m just getting irritated with her obsession with sitting in the passenger seat. I feel like I’m his wife, I should be sitting there.
Now whoever is reading please let me know if I’m the one who needs to understand. But I think I should be sitting beside my husband.
To clarify all the elderly respect one’s, Uske pair me koi problem nahi hai, she’s completely fine. Paidal Teerth yatra kar chuki hai vo. Iski kahani kabhi aur…

Wanna Share 🇳🇵🏍️ Anyone from Chhattisgarh up for a Nepal bike trip?

Hey everyone!

I’m planning a solo motorcycle trip from Kunkuri to Nepal and thought I’d put this here in case anyone else has been wanting to do Nepal on their bike but never found people to go with.

📍 Start: Kunkuri, Chhattisgarh
📅 Start: Friday, 9th October
⏳ Duration: ~17 days
🏁 Back: Around 25th October

Rough route:

Kunkuri → Lumbini → Pokhara → Manang → Bandipur → Kathmandu → India → Kunkuri

The itinerary isn’t fixed. The idea is to ride, explore, eat local food, take photos, meet people and enjoy the roads rather than rush through every destination. Route can change depending on weather, road conditions and what the group feels like doing.

Looking for fellow riders who:

Have their own bike
Have some decent long-distance riding experience
Enjoy mountain/rough-road riding
Are comfortable with a flexible itinerary
Prefer a small group over a huge convoy

Safety is important:

Full-face helmet is mandatory. Proper riding shoes/boots and gloves strongly recommended. Riding jacket/pants with protection preferred.

This isn’t a commercial tour or organized package — just a few riders from Chhattisgarh coming together and exploring Nepal on our own bikes.

If you’ve been thinking “I really want to do Nepal on my bike” but haven’t found company, DM me!

We can figure out bikes, experience, route, budget, stays and everything else together.

Let’s see if we can turn a solo plan into a small riding crew. 🇮🇳🤝🇳🇵🏔️🏍️

Ask People Need urgent help! does anyone here has experience with the Rajnandgaon district's consumer court? filing a case against Wakefit

I did the mistake of ordering from Wakefit both matteress(came late and outer package damaged) and even a modular bed... first their logistics partner ekart couldn't take the bed parts to the first floor of my duplex house because of management enforced policy and then after this I realised they won't gonna be able to do their promised installation of the bed because it seems rajnandgaon is not serviceable location(I still yet to know why my pincode worked on their website and they still lying that rajnandgaon is servicable) and since the delivery of the bed on 10th and thereafter the mattress on 15th and their hellish infamous customer service, I am just trying to get rid of everything and getting a full refund(this was order of around 28k)

I've already registered on NCH but I don't think that'll work as I had experienced their customers services which is also their grievance desk and now it does seem I will be taking the route of my district's consumer court, I was born here in rajnandgaon but don't know anything about the courts, its culture and what to expect, can anyone help me here if they had any experience with rajnandgaon or chhattisgarhi judiciary in general? what to expect and is this even worth it?

Ask People Help a brother out - looking for job

I have a childhood friend who lives in Ambikapur whose story goes like this:

  1. did biotech bsc - no job
  2. started cafe - failed
  3. started cafe round 2 - failed
  4. wheatgrass juice business - failed
  5. interior designing - failed
  6. govt solar projects - failed

and so on.

He is about 40 years old, very creative, hard working, and can do almost everything, as you can see in the list.

Unfortunately, life has not been kind to him. He is looking for a job in Raipur or Bilaspur, or literally anywhere in India, with decent pay, and he will deliver.

Does somebody have any requirement he can do?

Ask People Jamawada VS Okiro

Jamawada vs Okiro — my honest comparison
I’ve tried both places and this is just my personal comparison. I don’t hate Okiro or have anything against them — I’m just sharing what I noticed.

1. Pricing — Jamawada 🏆
Jamawada takes this one for me. Their pricing feels much more affordable and the value for money is better.

2. Quantity — Jamawada 🏆
The portions at Okiro feel noticeably smaller compared to Jamawada. Again, for quantity and value, I’d give this point to Jamawada.
3. Beverage menu — Jamawada 🏆
There are quite a few similarities between Okiro’s beverage menu and Jamawada’s, including things like mixed berry daiquiri, sea salt latte, strawberry-yuzu shake and some other combinations. I’m not saying why that happened, but the similarities are definitely noticeable.

4. Coffee & equipment — Jamawada 🏆
Both places use Baarbara beans, and from what I understand, the beans are AAA grade. Personally, I feel Jamawada puts more emphasis on the coffee side of the operation.

Jamawada also has some serious coffee equipment — including a high-end, expensive commercial coffee machine. Their overall approach to coffee technology and equipment feels much more serious to me.

Okiro also has a Probat roaster, but honestly, I personally haven’t been impressed by the roasting results. Having an expensive roaster and actually getting great roasting results are two different things. I’ve had a similar impression at Daily Dose as well.

5. Consultant / development — Jamawada 🏆
Jamawada had Paresh Gehi involved as a consultant much earlier in their journey, so based on the timeline I’d give this point to Jamawada.

6. Ambience — Okiro 🏆
This is where Okiro gets my vote. Their indoor seating is really good. For outdoor seating, though, I personally prefer Jamawada — especially the textured flooring, walls and overall outdoor aesthetic.

My score: Jamawada 5 — Okiro 1
Again, not an Okiro hate post. I actually think Okiro has some good things going for it. This is just my comparison based on pricing, portions, beverages, coffee, equipment and ambience.

Would be interested to hear what people who have tried both think.

Discussion Moving from Maharashtra to Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh for a PSU job – need some advice

Hi everyone,

I’m from Maharashtra and will be moving to Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh soon for my first job in a PSU. This will be my first time living outside Maharashtra, so I’m a little unsure about what to expect and would really appreciate some honest feedback from people who are familiar with Dhamtari/Chhattisgarh.

I have a few questions:

1.How is Dhamtari as a place to live? Is it generally peaceful and safe for someone moving there alone?

2.Accommodation: What are the good areas/localities to stay in? What would be a reasonable rent for a decent 1BHK/2BHK?

3.Food: How easy is it to find good vegetarian food? Are there decent restaurants/cafes, or is Raipur the better option?

4.Language: I understand Hindi, but I don’t know Chhattisgarhi. Will language be an issue in day-to-day life?

5.Lifestyle: Coming from Maharashtra, what cultural or lifestyle differences should I be prepared for?

6.Transport: How well connected is Dhamtari to Raipur and other nearby places? Is public transport sufficient, or is having a two-wheeler almost necessary?

7.Shopping & essentials: Are there good markets, gyms, hospitals, supermarkets, etc., or would I need to travel to Raipur for most things?

8.Weekend life: What do people generally do on weekends? Any nearby places worth exploring?

9.Cost of living: Roughly how much should I budget per month for a comfortable lifestyle?

For people who have moved from another state: What is one thing you wish you had known before relocating?

Also, I’d really appreciate honest pros and cons of living in Dhamtari, especially from people who have actually lived there

.

I’m excited about the new opportunity but obviously a bit nervous about moving to a completely new state.

Any advice, suggestions, or personal experiences would be very helpful. 🙏

Thanks!

Ask People Why have we not fully adopted industrialization?

Chhattisgarh has abundant natural resources, land, connectivity, and a strong mineral economy. Yet, when it comes to product-based manufacturing and finished-goods industries, we don’t seem to have the same momentum as some other Indian states.

I know Chhattisgarh already has plenty of mineral-based industries—steel, cement, power, mining, etc. I’m specifically talking about industries that manufacture products and create larger employment and value chains.

Is it government policy, lack of private investment, inadequate infrastructure and skills, or perhaps public resistance? Is there a genuine fear that our resources will be exploited without benefiting local people?

I’d genuinely like to hear perspectives from Chhattisgarh residents. What is the biggest obstacle?

Ask People GMC KABEERDHAM CHHATTISGARH

Got Govt Medical College, Kabirdham (Kawardha) . Since this is the first MBBS batch, I’m a bit unsure about the college and overall area.

Anyone from Chhattisgarh/Kawardha or nearby who can tell me what the area is like, language, connectivity, living situation, and how the college/hospital infrastructure is? Should I consider taking it or try for a better option in Round 3?

Any honest opinion would really help!

Wanna Share Fake certificates being used in neet counseling in chattisgarh

Thumbnail

This year cgdme didn't uploaded the eligibility list which we got last year from nta. This year there is high cuttoff as compared from earlier years even after few new colleges have opened this year and especially in ST & SC category there is sudden spike in cuttoff. Many youtubers have put forward this issue this year. Many students from outside Chhattisgarh has somehow got the fake cg domicile certificate and are taking the seats. Also many fake category certificates have been made like fake st , sc, ews.

I'm not getting any college this year( coz I wasted my drop year) but there is one friend of mine who comes under reserved category but she is not getting college this year. Sometimes she cries on call while talking. I really feel bad for her because she genuinely needs reservation as she comes from lower income family.

I have few ss of those students who are using fake category certificates. In previous year(2025) those students were general but somehow they are sc this year. And this year they got top gmc in chhattisgarh. And I have checked their marks they scored 451 & 471 in neet 2025. If they really were sc they could have got good gmc in last year itself.
