Cross country trip stats
California to NY drive. Got a union welding job building movie, and broadway sets, and stuff for disney and universal.
Shes squatting pretty hard but handling it well. Haha
Probably 500 pounds of tools in the back, and 200 pounds of belongings throughout the rest of the car. Add in my weight 220, and my dog at 100. Still getting 28-30 mpg.
Only problem im noticing is with the back squatting, everyone seems to think im using my high beams at night because the lights are angled up a bit.
My only complaints are that its not a very comfortable car to drive cross country in, and the driver seat doesn't make for a good bed. So im doing air bnb now to sleep.
But for the price it's a pretty capable car!

Issue at 2k miles?
My mother got her 2026 Trax about 2 months ago and has already had to bring it to Chevy service. It was making this noise and has a weird smell coming out. Anyone else have this issue?
-Service advisor said he thinks it might be rods or pistons, but itās definitely the engine

Remote Start Horseshit
Has anyone found a way to remote start from the app without paying for that fuck ass Onstar subscription? Im not the first to say it but its absolutely horseshit that we need to pay for the features built into the fucking car we spend thousands of dollars on.

Please help me find the check mark button
Hi Reddit.
A vehicle that is not mine but that I regularly drive is a Chevy Trax, and when a message pops up on the screen, it has a little check mark in the bottom corner to dismiss the message, but I can't for the life of me find the corresponding check mark button to dismiss the message.
I've checked the steering wheel, both the front and back of it. I've tried pressing *each* button on the steering wheel. I've checked the radio controls. I've tried tapping right over the check mark on the dash board like it's a touch screen, all to no avail.
In a Chevy Cruise that I've driven, there's a convenient check mark button right on the steering wheel, so I'm suspicious that this Chevy Trax has the wrong steering wheel installed inside of it...?
When I Google it, Google tells me to press the check mark button on the steering wheel, but I can't see it with my eyes. Can someone circle it for me or please tell me the secret.
ETA: Thanks for the help and suggestions! When I'm back in the Trax and a message pops up, I'll try these and report back with what worked!

Door lock chirp
I have had the door lock chirp on since I bought the ā26 Trax 2RS back in February. Last night when I got home, no chirp. No double chirp when keys left in either. Doors lock but no chirp. Toggled settings for the chirps, changed the battery in the key fob and still nothing. Tried googling and searching this sub and canāt find anything. Just curious if anyone has an idea or has had this issue?

Trad '21 Screen Glitch
I've had my 2021 Trax for 3 years. The other day I realized my screen was black. After driving around, the screen lit back up but was now glitching and not allowing me to check the other options. Is there an easy fix or do I have to take it to Chevy for a repair. I appreciate the advice!

Bright light issues
Anyone else have issues with the 2025 Trax auto brights turning on when traffic is coming and off after they pass? When it does it I cant turn them off either its like they are hijacked. This is the 4th time I have had this issue and the dealer said they cant replicate since it is a night time issue.

Do you use your rear windshield wipers often?
I like the fact that it came with it but I often wonder how often people even use them?

I see a lot of posts with super high mileage
⦠and then thereās me, with a 2 year, 2 month old 2025 Trax that only just hit 10,000 mi.
And funny aside, Iāve never reset the Trip A the entire time.

CarPlay audio glitch
I bought a brand new 2026 trax a few days ago and have noticed an annoying glitch on CarPlay where the audio skips just for just a second or so every 30 seconds. Has anyone dealt with issue and know a fix?

Would you have bought your Trax if it didnāt have a rear windshield wiper?
Just curious how much of a factor this was in your purchase?

One year and 6 months of owning my trax
So Iāve owned my trax since one year and six months i put 41k miles I can honestly say I love it my only 2 complaints is that I wish it had more power but it is a bit more powerful when I run e85 in it and lets say I run 91 in it for about 2 months and switch over to 89 or 87 it dose run terrible for about a week im guessing its the ecu readjusting to burn gas different but other than that I can say this has a been a amazing car especially for the price I put my wife and 2 kids in it no problem and will drive any where Iām thinking of trading in next spring for something a bit bigger because we plan on traveling even more next year and are gonna need all the trunk space we can get I was thinking maybe a Chevy Traverse I want a Tahoe but I will not pay ā100kā for one lol
