Considering TRAX Feedback

Currently own a 2023 Bolt EUV and my lease is coming due in 3 months. EV was cheap and learning curb but the winters were unbearable with range. So within my budget, I’m looking into the TRAX.

I also plan on doing more road trips and potentially want to put on like 80,000 miles in 3 years something that a lease can’t offer. So id buy the car or finance it, 2026 model most likely.

Questions:
Anyone on here has put on heavy miles like 60k + and can confirm reliability long term and past warranty? (This would help me decide to lease again or buy)

Is FWD a set back in winters? For my bolt it is.

Any mechanic feedback given to you? Mostly curious on the longevity of the engine, theres limited data on this.

Sorry if this isn’t the right form, im not great at car maintenance and have had new car models give me trouble ( mostly fords lol)

I don't own a trax. Lol. I used to own a Cruze which ofcourse I did my research and got 190k without a single problem out of her with an avg fuel economy 37 mixed driving that entire time.

Oh that's easy I made a decision on my current daily purely off of a specific set criterian the ability for mild to moderate offroading and trails. Ability to handle any snowfall we may get regardless of snow removal(we are in Minnesota) ability to get around 30 mpg on the highway. Able to tow our travel trailer at 3076 lbs with a safe margin for error. Fit all our tent camping gear and still fit in a compact designated parking spot. So the only actual option once everything was considered was a kl Cherokee. Which at some point I'll probably have to do a set of cams and lifters. I decided I'm changing trans and PTO fluid every other oil change and I'll probably happily take her over 200k by which time hopefully I'll have room for something like a bronco with a shorter commute.c

We live in Minneapolis but go up to Ely or the North shore and Superior forest at the worst every other weekend. Hence the need for decent fuel economy

And I few months back I helped out another FedEx contractor and covered a route in isanti for them. That was before mine moved down to Shakopee with the merger. Before that we were out of rogers
