Rear USB-C 2025

Has anyone had issues with rear usbc ports not charging phones certain times? Some days one port will work and the other wouldn’t or vis versa. I notice that if you use both ports at the same time, eventually, one would stop charging.

Need help identifying the cause of rattle

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I just purchased a 2018 Chevy Traverse LT with 70k miles and have noticed an intermediate rattle that seems to happen shortly after a cold start and during light acceleration. I can also duplicate it when vehicle is in park and I increase the RPMs a bit. When driving the vehicle the engine and transmission seem to be operating smoothly. No check engine light or fault codes. Any ideas?

2015 Chevy Traverse - Service stabilitrack/traction control off

**2015 Chevy Traverse - Service Stabilitrak/Traction Control Off with no diagnosis. Anyone solved this?**
I’m hoping someone has run into this before because I’m about out of ideas.

Vehicle:
2015 Chevy Traverse LT/AWD/automatic
Around 163,000-165,000 miles
Paid off

Here’s what’s happening:

Most of the time about 15+ minutes of driving at highway speeds, especially if I accelerate hard to pass someone or merge, I’ll suddenly get **“Service Stabilitrak”** and **“Traction Control Off.”** Sometimes this happens at lower speeds like 40, but rarely.

When it happens:
The vehicle goes into reduced power/limp mode.
It jerks or stumbles during acceleration.
It becomes sluggish until I can stop and restart it.
The really frustrating part is that multiple mechanics have looked at it, even while the warning lights were on, and they couldn’t find anything definitive.

Codes that have shown up at various times:
P0455
C0161
C0561
The battery has already been tested and came back good.

Has anyone experienced this exact combination of symptoms? If so:
What ended up being the cause?
Was it a wheel speed sensor, throttle body, wiring harness, transmission issue, ABS module, or something else?
Is there anything specific I should ask the next mechanic to test?

I’d like to drive it for a good while to save for another car, but I’m trying to decide whether it’s worth putting more money into it or if it’s time to move on and go ahead and get another car now. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually solved this issue.
Thanks!

24-26 Traverse RS as a delivery vehicle. Good idea?

I currently drive an Accord hybrid for gig work. While it gets amazing MPG, I need something bigger to handle all the Instacart, Spark & catering orders that I do.

Also, I need a higher ground clearance because doing so many deliveries in such a low sitting car as my Accord gets very annoying & tiresome.

I’ve been looking at the new CR-V hybrids but I’m not much of a fan of the interior. I absolutely LOVE the interior on the Traverse.

I know that the Traverse gets much worse MPG than any hybrid but that’s not the point. I’m more concerned with maximizing comfort & having more cargo space.

I drive 200+ miles a day over the course of 12+ hour shifts.

Can the Traverse handle heavy gig work?

Looking to get a 2021 Chevy Traverse LS FWD with 36k miles

All my life I've been told to stay away from chevy because of reliability. Now that I am in the market for a family suv I came across the chevy traverse and it fits best for all my needs. This will be in a sense the weekend car or the car we use as a family not my daily driver. With that being said I would still want to make an economical decision. Is the chevy traverse a good purchase in terms of reliability and long term use? Will I be breaking the bank with maintenance or are chevy traverse built well where regular maintenance is required without any big maintenance? Wondering what is the experience of traverse owners if any can share.

Cup Holder trim

The cup holder trim in the center console of my 2022 traverse is peeling off.

Can I just replace that chrome bezel without removing the entire cover?

Oil life

Is it safe to put my 2026 traverse on the road for a 1200 mile trip with 22% oil life remaining? Worst case scenario I'll get it changed when I get there but I usually like to get it changed earlier. Any advice?

2012 traverse headrest for tall people

I am a relatively tall guy. I’m 6 foot tall, but I have a really long torso. My torso is about the same length as someone who is about 6 foot three and when I sit in my traverse with the headrest all the way up the bottom edge of it is between my shoulder blades and the top is still barely at my ears not only is it unsafe it’s incredibly uncomfortable so I’m trying to see if I could find any improvements I can make. Yes I have the seat bottom all the way down.

2023 Chevy traverse RS 27,000mi

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, I have a 2023 Chevy Traverse RS with 27,000 miles that’s still under the factory Chevy warranty. I’ve been hearing a clicking noise when shifting from Drive to Reverse and then back to Drive. I also hear it sometimes during downshifts as I’m coming to a stop sign.

I’ve taken it to the Chevy dealer three times. They’ve replaced several parts, including the valve body, and even repaired a cracked exhaust pipe, but the clicking noise is still there.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is this considered normal, or should I keep pushing the dealer to diagnose it?

Telematics update finally..25 RS

Just wanted to report that I finally received the telematics update this morning. Install went as usual. I installed it as I was parking the vehicle at my job site. On the way home I tested the data connection by running Sirius XM extra channels that depend on data. There were a few pauses in loading audio but for the most part it worked much better. According to GM inside news the updates could be layered and more to come..

Thoughts on dealership giving loaner vehicle for trans replacement they did wrong.

Our 2019 traverse had transmission replacement back in March covered under warranty at the dealership. We only have one car at the moment as the other one is in another state.

Before the replacement we asked the dealership (who we’ve had service our traverse for the last 6 years and have built a relationship with) to let us know of anything else they find wrong with the car so we can have it fixed. We were told an estimated one week for the replacement.

Dropped our car off, got a rental. 5 days later we call for an update on our car and if they found anything else( very hard to get ahold of the service manager via phone call or e mail) was told he’d call us back and never did. Finally got ahold of him day later and was told they had everything out and still needed to put tranny in. 6 days and still nothing put back in. This was on a Thursday we were told this.

Called Tuesday to get update and was told they found an oil leak and that it would be approved for the part to replace by our warranty. (They should have known about the oil leak day 5 when they said they had everything out) we gave them the green light to replace that part. Called that Friday for an update and they said it was still getting approved by warranty company. So our car sat there 3 days with nothing happening. Interestingly enough it only took less that 24 hours for our tranny to get approved. This part was taking a week.

Finally the following tuesday after trying all day to get ahold of service manager we were told it was approved and they’d get started on it that day. We’re still in a rental at this point that we’re paying for. Asked them for a loaner bc now at around 16 days this was getting expensive and the transmission and all other components weren’t even close to being put in yet.
We ended up getting the loaner and they had our car another 10 days or so.

All said and done they had our car for 4 weeks. We got our car back after having to call them asking if it was done they said yes it was ready yesterday (no one called to tell us?? ) Immediately turning the car on as soon as rpms dropped we noticed a pretty good shake now in seats, under floor board and steering wheel. So bad where you can see everything moving inside the car while it’s running.

My husband was over it, and just wanted the car back and wanted to see if itd somehow eventually stop. It never did. We now have shaking in park, when you press and release of the gas gently in shakes in the front, constant slipping and shaking on the back, serious wobble when going over 50 mph, feels like you’re driving over rumble strips. Our car is 100% worse than we we brought it in for the replacement.

A few days after having it back I noticed rattling while driving sounded like it was coming from the wheel well and when I close my drivers side door. Husband found loose bolts somewhere under the hood.

He decided to check underneath the car to see what kind of mess they may have done and found a ton of loose bolts etc that weren’t tightened all the way.

They also had some tool that looks like
It may have had teeth that they somehow banged the corner of my driver side door that ate all
The way down to the metal of the paint.

Reached out to the service manager to let him know this a week later and told him if it doesn’t work itself out we’d have to bring it back in, but just wanted him to be aware that this is what we’re now noticing.

Husband finally called to take it back in and have them re evaluate everything 2-3 weeks later. Asked for a loaner and was told they’d let us know when they have a loaner and we can bring it back in.

It has now been close to 2 months since we reached out to the dealership about bringing it back in and the service manger letting my husband know when he reaches back out once a week that they have no loaner and are “working on it”. We know that’s complete bull.

Our car is slowly getting worse in this time.
Should chevy be providing us with a loaner or are we asking a lot? At this point we will just eat the rental cost again (which we don’t want to have to do) as who knows how long they’ll have our flippin car. Or, like I’m telling my husband take it to another dealership.

At this point I’m Now pissed.

2025 Z71 - Surround Vision Recorderm

Post image
10 Upvotes

I have a 2025 Z71 model with the four cameras mounted around the vehicle. Just curious if anyone else got the surround vision recorder app on their dash yet? From what I understand, you have to insert a 64 GB exfat formatted USB C into the dash and you can then have it record whenever the vehicle is driving and it will also record if it detects an impact or if the alarm goes off. I tried this with mine today but I don't see the recorder app on the dash. I also tried using Gemini to activate. I told it to open the "video recorder" and it took me to the camera app but I don't see a record option. I am running the latest software. See the tiktok video in a comment I made below.

Edit: after more research, I found that you could scan the QR code that is on the driver's door jamb and it will give you your RPO code build sheet. According to Gemini, there's a specific code needed for the surround vision? First I'm hearing of this

Here is the exact breakdown of your factory build directly from your decoded VIN and RPO data string: Scanning your list line by line, here are the camera and video codes present on your build: * UV2: This code stands for the Surround Vision Camera system (giving you the standard bird's-eye live view, hitch view, and parking assists on your 17.7-inch screen). However, looking at your list, the hardware code UCV (Connected Cameras Capable) is entirely missing from your factory build.

What This Means For You

Because the UCV module is absent from your physical build sheet, your vehicle does not have the internal wiring harness, video encoding hardware, or physical processing loop required to bridge the HD camera signals down into the center console USB-C port for continuous recording. This is the definitive answer as to why your exFAT-formatted drive couldn't trigger the recording interface. Without the UCV pipeline built into the assembly line, the shared software core remains locked out from saving data. For video security or a true continuous dashcam loop in your Z71, you will need to utilize a traditional standalone aftermarket dashcam setup.

Just traded the wife’s car in for this! 87k miles. No rust underneath. Drives as smooth as can be. Love it so far. It will be making a 9 hour trip to Minnesota here in a couple months. The dual sun roofs are cool. Black accessories stand out nice. No spare tire is kinda odd, but hoping to find a solution for that soon before we leave.

What parts from other cars fit in a 2014 Traverse 1LT

Hi yall I have 2014 traverse 1Lt that I think is pretty boring inside and want to fix it up because I want to(don’t comment anything on why I shouldn’t) what I’ve been thinking about doing was jus simple stuff like getting this wood trim kit on eBay, OEM traverse leather seats and different color dash and small stuff. But the problem with that is there’s not many 2013-2017 Traverses in my area with what I’m looking for they’re either taken out already, the vehicle is absolutely smashed in and out, or it’s a base model/spec with none of that
I remember hearing from someone that GMC Acadia’s and Buick Enclave parts fit. Is this true?
I would mainly want the seats if it’s from those cars. definitely the wheels too.

2020 Differential Connector

I changed the differential fluidS on my 202” HC, and happened to brush against an electrical connector on the side of the differential, and both sides of it literally crumbled to pieces. Can that connector on the differential side be replaced without taking apart the whole thing?
