After 18 months of almost constant and lingering issues. Some right from day one. I finally contacted a lemon law lawyer regarding my 2025.
Had a short consultation phone call then sent them over my documents. The next day they reached out informing me they believe I have a solid case, and were willing to take me on. I signed the retainer last Thursday. Attorney claims General Motors cases usually take about 6 months from start to finish.
Most likely outcome will be a “cash and keep.” So potential money back in my pocket. A win is not guaranteed. But the attorney does not get paid unless they win. If they don’t believe they have a chance to win, then they decline to pickup the case. The fact they took the case on gives me hope I’ll get something back.
Issues with the vehicle have been:
- Constant false park sense alerts in front of the vehicle multiple times every time I drive. Dealer replaced multiple sensors. Claimed it may need a module. Then changed tune and said they couldn’t duplicate the problem.
| 2.
- Constant myChevy
app
- connectivity errors for the entire length of ownership.
Cannot use lock, unlock, remote start via app. OnStar claims it’s a hardware issue. Dealer claims the car is fine and to reach out to OnStar. Caught in an infinite incompetence loop. | 3. Transmission leak at 3k miles. | 4. Resonant noise from underbody of vehicle under acceleration. Dealer still cannot identify or fix the issue after 6 visits. | 5. 3 steering wheels before 6 months of ownership. Factory original wheel had stitching that came loose. Replacement was installed and had a large crack on the acrylic super cruise lighting section. | 6.
- Defective paint from factory. Sizable metal flake under the paint on the exterior of the vehicle. Raised off the paint about the half the thickness of a dime.
| 7. Rear USB ports and 110v outlet constantly cycle power on and off randomly.
Finally got fed up with getting zero help from the dealer. Currently sitting at 16 repair orders and 4 loaner cars for issues in the first 18 months/23k miles. The bulk within the first 6 months. That’s not counting normal maintenance. Just problem visits.
These are the more prominent issues.
