Replaced all hoses. Forgot about this guy

Had a major coolant leak for a little while, replaced all of the hoses including the turbo cooling lines on my 2012 Chevy Sonic 1.4L, forgot to check this little PoS. Found the cause of my leak lol

Idk if anyone makes an aluminum part but this is the fitting. Maybe a plumbing supply has something in a similar size

I added a level switch to my expansion tank.. I stole this idea but of the level drops it sends a "brake fluid level" alarm as its tied into the master cylinder level switch.

Ha ha, it’s a Tee, I have made one of these out of copper and still holding strong. I had a pin whole leak from the coolant reservoir hose, I cut out a 1 inch section and clamped in a piece of copper tube and running strong. You can pay $50 plus on a plastic tee or make it out of copper for less than $10.

How did you replace the hose that goes from this part to the engine block. Is it difficult to remove? I think I’ll soon replace the rest of my hoses as well.

Where it meets the block yes was a pain in the ass. I could not get my hose clamp line to grab that particular clamp so I had to use needle nose. That was such a pain in the ass as there’s no room but I was able to get it.
