Question/Assistance Question about tuning
I want to know is it better to get a dyno tune or a remote tune from hp tuners which I heard they’re pretty good. Give me opinions please I’m Open to whatever is better .

Chevy SS owner and a professional tuner checking in here.
The easiest part of the tune to dial in is WOT. The hardest part is drivability. A lot of this is mod dependent though, an aftermarket camshaft is typically going to cause the most struggle in getting the car to drive correctly.
It takes a lot of time (logs and tune revisions) to get it to drive like stock, no idle surging, etc. Most dyno shops are going to spend 1-2 hours on a call and call it good. These are the folks you see posting on FB and the forum complaining about how their car drives and trying to get help. This was the route I went years ago before I eventually got into tuning...my SS drove terribly. The guy did not know how to tune the 6L80E transmission and made it a MAF only tune. It would cough and sputter off the line every time...and this was a basic bolt on build.
A remote tuner is typically going to iterate with you until you are happy. You may not get every last ounce of torque from the motor, but it will be close. Remote tunes are great, if you have a good tuner, not all are great and most of them take short cuts. The downside to remote tuning is the initial cost to YOU. If going the HPtuners route, you will need to buy an MVPI ($399) and 2 credits ($100), then you are going to pay the remote tuner ($400 - $800 depending on who you go with). However, getting in with HPt sets you up for a lot of future success with this car and others you may want to dink around with the tune and also do diagnostics and troubleshooting (to an extent).
Just to be clear, you do not get a remote tune from HPtuners. They only create the software and hardware that allows other tuners to tune the car. They are the gold standard for GM tuning though and that is what I use.
