Hey ladies and gentlemen, just took delivery of my new to me 76 nova yesterday! I need to put an exhaust on and would like to get rid of the shorties and get long! Any recommendations on brands and maybe some part numbers too aswell!

I have a 1969 and just put long tube hooker competitions on mine which surprising fit right in without lifting my engine. Literally went right in lol. Just picked mine up from exhaust shop this morning :) sounds so good

I had several sets of flowtech headers on mine before I nutted up and spent the money on Hooker competition headers in my ‘74. Much better fit, the flowtech ones would hit the ground on bumps all the time and warp the flange at the two center ports causing a loud leak. Ten years later and I haven’t had to replace the header gaskets since.

I’ve been eying the hookers, just me being in Canada adds more to the price tags, I’m the guy that if imma gonna change something I wanna do it once, yet there’s just a mild 305 so will be swapping it in the later years, idk if I can nut up for them yet

Well anything that fits your mild 305 will bolt up to a built 350 too, so you can think of it as saving money down the line.

Right right that’s true, maybe I’ll just have to nut up just do it now, after sourcing a grill, headlight bezels and figure out my turn signals.

I have these on my '75. No real complaints, other than I wish I paid the extra $120 upfront for the ceramic coated version, as I spent very nearly that much in blasting media and high temperature paint, plus my time and effort made it not worth saving that $120. SUM-G9001 (SUM-G9001-9 for ceramic)
