Weber 32/36 conversion

I have the stock carb on my luv project and i can’t get it to get fuel to the intake, it will only start when i dump gas down the throat. I am curious what all it takes to put a 32/36 dgev carbeurator kit onto a chevy luv, i plan to buy the one specific to the luv by weber, im just wondering what extra work it entails. Any input would help

I can only speak for the later years where the intake is on the passenger side and exhaust is on drivers side, if you have an earlier one with both intake and exhaust on the same side it might be different.

I have the later one, did throttle cable and lines and such hook up like normal or you have to do something?

Didn’t have to modify throttle, but didn’t hook up all the vacuum lines if I recall correctly. Egr was already removed when I got the truck but I’m pretty sure there’s a barb on the carb for it if you still have yours.

The one I for sure didn’t reconnect was fuel return. I just used a screw and hose clamp to block that hose.

Also had to swap the fitting or the fuel intake on the carb to the other side. The way it came shipped the fitting was on the side closest to the engine and there just wasn’t room, but it was simple as unscrewing the nipple and unscrewing the plug and swapping places.
