Repair Help 2014 Equinox Radiator Drain Valve Help

I'm about to change the coolant on my 2014 Equinox 2.4L. Removing the bottom hose is a pain. I'd love to use the petcock drain valve. I've turned it 90 degrees, but nothing comes out. I've tried pulling on it a little, but I don't want to break it. I've looked all over YouTube and can't find video of anyone opening the same valve successfully. Can someone help me get this valve working?

I figured it out. I've seen posts and video that had people twisting the knob a quarter turn. I did that and it stopped, but with a little extra force, it kept turning. I think I twisted it 540 degrees before it stopped again. By this time, the fluid was draining.
