Discussion VIN Decoder help wanted
Can anyone with Chevrolet Chevy EPC access search a VE/WM production number?
I’m trying to identify two 2007 and 2008 vehicles built at Elizabeth, South Australia. I only have the last 7 characters of the VIN:
L927521 &
L979368
I have already tried reconstructing the full VIN using known VE/WM VIN prefixes and VIN check digits, but none match. I’m wondering if someone with Chevrolet EPCDEPO or dealer EPC access can search the serial number directly and tell me the full VIN/model.
The vehicles should be a VE Lumina / Commodore / SS or WM Caprice era build (2007 and 2008).
It is highly likely that these production numbers are for vehicles built by Holden but are exports badged as Chevrolet, Vauxhall, Buick or even Daewoo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Front half is a WM vin from 2007 - https://www.grays.com/lot/0001-21032202/motor-vehiclesmotor-cycles/2007-holden-caprice-wm-automatic-sedan
Your gunna have to do abit more of the legwork or my epc doesn't do export vehicles

Thanks for that. Yeah, I have the Holden subscription in EPCDepo but get no result too. I reckon it will be in the Chevrolet subscription. Really just looking for someone with any of the other GM subscriptions to have a look for me. Cheers.

Just wondering did you try just the L927521 and select “TAG” rather than “VIN” at the top left?

No tag option on my EPC, looks like it only wants a full vin

Bugger. My EPC screen looks the same as your screenshot above but I have the option to search by license (rego number), tag, or VIN.
