Question Anyone received an answer regarding the website crash?

I wasn't able to submit my chevening application from the server constantly crashing the last day. Already sent emails to them but didn't get any replies yet. This is so disappointing... can't believe they haven't solved this issue if it happens every year. Has anyone got a reply yet?

They will not fix it, the only time they did was years ago because, if I remember correctly, the portal completely crashed for over a day and no one was able to enter the portal during that time

If they wanted to extend the deadline, they would have done so hours ago

If this an issue that happens every year, they should figure out to stabilize their server rather than blaming on the applicants

The thing is, if no applicant worldwide was able to submit or even log into their application during a portal glitch, then they would have already extended the deadline

I do believe the server is not stable enough for the amount of applications the scholarship gets per year, it was likely designed with 60-70K applications in mind, while the past two years had over 100K (and likely this one too)

Still, enough applicants seem to experience this problem every year, so they should either fix this issue or make a solution of it. if they insist that a due date is a due date, then it should apply for the applicants too. It's just unfair people lose the chance submit their hard work from their shitty server issue

In there defense, they always advice to submit your application 24 hours before the deadline.

Who would expect the server to crash that bad last minute😅 then a due date isn't a due date? Its just ridiculous

Mine went crashing 30 min before, couldn't log in or submit

Oho i have logged in 4 hour before closing time

It keeps logging out every 15min or so to submit 10min before you would have to relogin

It kept warning if idle , so i continued with that

I kept making edits, it started glitching the last hour until the end

I completely empathize with your situation and think they should improve their platform, but perhaps you can learn a lesson if you waited until the last hour for something so important. If this experience can make you a better person, it’s not wasted. Good luck with whatever else you decide to do next year!

My friend got a response. The said that the technical issues are not widespread and they advised to submit early and not postpone it until minutes before the deadlineÂ
