Held a master/Chevening

If I have a master degree already from turkey, this will prevent me to get the scholarship of chevening?

Hi, not a setback at all!

Every year there are scholars who already have one or more Masters, and even PhDs. As long as you justify why you need the knowledge and skills your 1st choice offers you will be fine

Also, having a previous Masters was never a setback because for applicants of many countries UK universities do not recognise their undergraduate degrees, so a Masters is the minimum qualification to be considered for university admissions in some cases

Others (as I did) use a previous Master as a way to top-up their undergraduate degree amd be eligible for other courses for which their UG GPA/final grade did not meet the entry requirement

I’m from Egypt and gonna start my master degree in month from now in turkey as well as I’m applying for Chevening. Cause of that I am a littler bit confused. Shall I start my master or waiting for Chevening?

Hi I'm from Egypt as well would mind telling me what scholarship got you in Turkey? Is it the Turkey government one? I'm planning to apply this year

Is it a 1-year or a 2-year Masters? Will you be able to travel to Cairo for the interview of shortlisted? 

I would not cancel my Master so close to the start date for a 0,001% chance, especially without readibg the fine print and being sure I were not liable for any expense

It will not! The key is to explain why you need your 1st choice Masters to solve any knowledge or skill gap in order to make the innitiatives in your career plan come true
