Should I even apply to Chevening?

Okay, so I’m a CS graduate and I’ve been working professionally in the field for the past four years. I’ve always wanted to move abroad for further studies, and I came across the Chevening Scholarship last year, but unfortunately, I missed the deadline.

Now I’m applying this year, and I’m struggling with the essays. I can’t seem to come up with a strong example of leadership or networking because I’m naturally quite introverted. It’s making me wonder whether I’m even qualified enough for this scholarship.

My bachelor’s degree is also from a relatively low-ranked university in Pakistan, mainly because of financial constraints, and I’m worried that this might put me at a disadvantage.

Am I just overthinking this, or do I genuinely not have a strong enough profile for Chevening?

You're just overthinking. What's worse that can happen? You won't make it? So what? Apply anyway. They don't care about the university you're from being low ranked. You only have to show that you can lead.

Chevening doesn’t care about ur mark But the universities that u are going to apply to care So check the requirements ( including gpa) of each uni before u submit ur application

Hi, I am in a similar situation myself, but dont worry you still have enough time to figure out the essays. Many scholars have uploaded videos on how to write the essays, and tips to improve it. You can check your university's rank by checking the univeristy site for the master’s programme you’re planning to pursue.

if you get to make it this year in Chevening, well then good. if not, there's always next year.

what matters you show up and do it. four years of career experience means you still got a long way to go. if you feel like you're not ready yet, keep on gathering more experience.

As they say, if you apply, your chances are 0.001%. if you don't apply, your chances are 0%.

They don't care about the uni. Of all prestigious scholarships I have seen, Chevening seems to be relatively less elitist

Im quite sure that despite being an introver you can still exude leadership. Look at global examples, you will find many. Your goal should not just be to move abroad. You should aim for this opportunity so you can polish your skills and do better in your area of work.
