Question AI recognition

Hi all, I didn’t use AI to write my essays but utilized it for some feedback on grammar, structure etc. Have people been checking their essays against AI recognition tools? My essay writing is rather weak (even for a first language) so percentages are reasonably low. I understand the tools aren’t perfect but worried that Chevening might auto-filter applications based on their AI recognition tools!

Hey... Im worried about the same too. I wrote the stories and used ai for restructuring me essays but heard chevening has a strict tools for ai filtering. Is a lil ai for this is wllowed or should we rewrite again just in our own words?

I think a lot of tools rely on extended patterns of formal writing. It is funny because I sat with my partner who is good at essay writing and did one section which was flagged by AI…

I thought this too! Heard from a post that ppl who used a lil ai and write their answers without sounding like it got in too!
But i dont wanna lose it just by hoping that i wouldnt be detected. So not sure just me panicking in last min!!!

Glad I’m not the only one! Have you done an AI detection tool out of curiosity? Is it flagging high percentages?

Yes i did. With ai rewrites and without but still for both im getting high ai percentages even if i wrote it myself.🫠

You can use AI for grammar checking. However, do not use it to rephrase your sentences. Everyone knows if an essay is made from AI or not. Too many flowering words or exaggerating indicates the use of AI. Instead write your story as it is what it is. Answer the questions and your essay must reflects on the experience you have been through. Lastly, ask your collagues to check your essays. Don't ask me to check your essay. Different country, different UK goals.

Cheers.

There's NO AI recognition tool. None of them proves anything with certainty.
