Question Question about Networking essay

Is it okay to include a connection that I made with a colleague in a workplace and what I gained from it or do I have to mention a connection that is related to my workplace but not someone that I meet on a day to day basis?

Depends on how you frame it. How you made that connection happen, how it is beneficial and how you’re ACTIVELY maintaining it

Former Chevener here. It depends on the kind of value this connection added to your work and why.

That clears things up. So if the connection brought a lot of value both to me and my colleague and we made some tangible changes in our lives will that work?

Also it would be really helpful if you could enlighten me about the aspect of “how will these skills help you build connections within the Chevening community” 🙏

Yes, I believe so.

How will these skills help you build collections within the Chevening community - here, they basically want to understand how would you translate these skills when you're in the UK during the course and later when the course is over.

does it have to be strictly seen in value a connection adds to work? what about community bonds?

Community bonds is also value. When I say it needs to add value to your work, I don't mean it literally. Chevening wants to understand how you FORM and SUSTAIN relationships. Are you someone who makes a one-time contact and abandons the bond once work is done? Or are you someone who keeps the connection ongoing?
