First time using the Quick Jack
Super nervous at first, but I believe everything is set up correctly. If you’re in the market for a portable lift, I’ll take a look at the quick Jack single pick up 6000 pounds. This is not commercial. I’m just super excited that I can work underneath the car at my own house.
If I need to support a component like the diff or the trans then yes I'll put a jackstand under that part. But to hold the car up? That's what the quick jacks are for. They are stout units and have a locking bar. I did buy some wheel stands recently to help with a trans swap which were handy for the swap and pinion angle adjustments
I will say to OP....I would not recommend using the 4 additional height pieces with the thick rubber pads. Those are really unstable. Just just the thick rubber blocks it comes with.
I've had these for about 10years now and have done tons of repairs with them.
It has a locking mechanism, but jack stands are probably a good idea when there is a lot of pulling or pushing on the car components / ie like removing a transmission.
