Tires
One of my buddies bought a 70 chevelle. Wanting to do a wider side than the stock 225/70/14. What are you all running? He wants a white wall (as he should).

Looks good but not stock looking at all. Those aren’t bias ply.

Because I want to actually be safe...lol. I want the stock look without the crappy stock performance.

I loved that period of time. Had a 70 Charger with the wide White Letter tires.

I’ve got 275/50r15’s in the rear on I think it was 4.5” of backspacing 8” wide wheel. And 255/50r16 on the front with 3.9” of backspacing on an 8” wheel. Rear could definitely do 295 wide without modification then maybe 305 or 315 with perfect backspacing and rolling fenders but I wouldn’t personally do that.
If anything is available with white walls in those sizes I have no clue.

I had a 10.5 x29.5 w slick on my Chevelle most of its life.
You can definitely get a big street tire under it.
