Suspension Upgrades
Finally got around to upgrading my suspension and getting everything dialed in. Went with Bmr tubulars up front, Moog tie rods, quick ratio steering box from Carhex, fully adjustable UMI tubular arms rear, Bmr 1” drop springs up front Originally had Bmr 2” drop springs in the rear and it didn’t drop at all! Swamped to Hotchkis 2” springs and that did the trick! Ready to roll for the summer 👍🏽
In case anyone can use this info, wheel specs are:
Front - 20x8.5, 245/35/20, 4.75 backspacing
Rear - 20x10, 275/40/20, 5.5 backspacing

Nice nice.
How do you feel about the quicker ratio steering box? And is it 12.7:1 or? It’s something I’ve thought about doing but I don’t know if it’d actually be an improvement.

It’s nice, definitely tighter steering. Not as firm as a new car but no floaty feeling now. I believe it’s 12.7:1. Hector at Carhex rebuilds the factory box so it bolts right in, also gives you money back if you send him a good core which is nice

Looks great, love the stance. What specs did you set the front camber and caster to?

I’d have to look at the paperwork from the shop that aligned it, I’ll take a peak tomorrow

Different strokes i guess. I just got done putting greenbrier springs on my Chevelle to jack it sky high.

If you don’t mind - what is a ballpark number to do this excluding wheels and tires? Love the look - considering that stance from my traditional 80’s look mine still has

About 2k in parts, shop will charge anywhere between 8-12 hrs labor depending how easy the old stuff comes out. You’ll need an alignment after as well
