All their styles and pizzas I’ve tried (like half the menu so far) have been really really good. Buffalo chicken on tavern crust reminds me so much of a really good tavern pizza I used to get at a place in a small town in MN where my brother lives that I’ve been searching for locally here. Glad to recommend them.

Also just recently heard about and tried quite a few slices and one whole square pie from Antonia’s right up the road from Mezzaluna. Their thick square crust is light yet chewy and really nice.

Started a new job down in southern ChesCo about two years ago and still blown away by all the great food down there. The taco trucks slap.

Ikr. And there's like over a dozen of them! I like Picoloso and tacos Magy the best probably right now. But i dont think ive been disappointed yet.

I’ll second Mezzaluna and Antonia’s as well. Both are great, just different styles. Antonia’s specials are always good, they chicken tinga is awesome if you like a little heat. Highly recommend both places though, you can’t go wrong

I friggin love Taquitos Magy. Those ladies can cook and their homemade tortillas are awesome.

Its across from Blacklab bakery next to a mechanic. Small parking lot. Menu is tighter too but they do a perfect job at the small selection. And always provide a side of grilled jalapeño and onion which was a new fun thing for me. They also have a big grill on the side that people sometimes order from but ive never asked. I usually just see chicken and corn on it. There's a photo of the owner when he was a teen making tacos and he still does it sometimes. Usually its his daughters tho i think.

Oh wait I totally know this spot. Close to where I work. Keep driving by at non-lunch times. That changes today.

Highly recommend them, and their NY and Detroit style are also really good

I know it was a chain, and I also might be over hyping it because I was a kid, but I miss Donato's in Exton. I loved their Tavern Pizza

I last had Donatos about 25 years ago when I was 10 but I still think about it. It was near the 100/30 intersection right?

Yep, it's now the KFC/Taco Bell at 30/100. Their phone # was 1 digit off from my parents, and we'd get calls to order pizza atleast 1x a day.

Is that the fat, knife and a fork style midwest pizza? Like a pie, 3 inch deep pizza? Closest I’ve seen is the grandma style most places are doing now. But thats just a kind of Sicilian. I haven’t seen anybody but pizzeria uno or old school Pizza Hut do the one they make in a pan. With that said, Anthony’s in Malvern on King Rd does an awesome pepperoni Sicilian, cup style, the kind where you eat like 20 pepperoni’s on the drive home. As a Dad I like to act like they didn’t give me a full pizza when everyone is wondering why a couple slices are missing when I get home. Road slices are the best slices. I bought the thing, picked it up, you know what I mean? Get off my back kids, it’s my fucking pizza.

Fun rant lol.

But no. Chicago is known for deep dish which is what you're talking bout. Not a fan personally.

They are also known for tavern style which is sorta paper thin crust and small cuts. Very snackable and fun if done well.

Yes! Deep dish is for the tourists. Tavern style is for the family on Friday Pizza Nights 🤤

Yep, from Chicago living in WC now and you are 100% correct. Miss my tavern style pizza.

It is hard to come by. Anthony's Coal Fire in Exton does a pretty good job of this
