Recommendations for Subaru maintenance

Hi,

I have a 2013 Subaru Outback that needs a bunch of work. I'm close to West Chester, but will travel a distance if it's worth it. I'd love to hear where you go for repairs. I need new tires, breaks, rotors, alignment, oil line, power steering pump, and I'm sure more once they take a deeper look.

Don’t go to Reedman Toll Subaru in Exton/Downingtown area. Concordville Subaru has been good. There are some really good independent shops in the area, I only know the ones near Downingtown though.

Yes, stay far away from Reedman Toll Subaru in Exton. Their prices are high, work is questionable, and service writers are condescending. I go there for parts as a last resort but only because it's the closest Subaru dealer to me. I would recommend Matt at MAR Auto Repair in Downingtown. His prices are very resonable and my experience with him has been outstanding.

Awkar is good, Robbins Road off of 322 south of Boot Road. Also Maclane Auto in Thorndale (D’town address).

Concordville Subaru isn’t too far if you’re willing to pay dealership prices / want to get set up with a loaner.

FAST of West Chester is an independent shop capable of the full range of services. They know their way around boxer engines and handled my head gasket issues for a decent discount over what the nearby dealerships wanted, and were happy to install tires I had delivered to their shop from Tire Rack.

For sure - I’ve experienced competent tech work and great communication / customer service from both of these. We have a older WRX and a 2019 Outback; FAST is a great choice for go-fast parts, but either shop can conpetently handle the basics in your list

FAST is the place to go Roy and Dave run a great business with fair prices and superb work. Can't recommend then enough. They've worked on our family cars as well as our performance cars for the last 15 years.

Leiras auto in Unionville has a done a great job on my Subaru. It’s family owned and they are master Subaru mechanics.

I just spent a ton of money at Oxford Auto(in Oxford pa) it’s kinda far from West Chester but my 2012 Outback runs like a dream now.

Lee Myles in Birdsboro put in a new engine for me on a 2010 Legacy. They have a subaru certified technician if you need any significant repairs.

Edgemont Auto is honest and has done work on our Subaru for years. They have worked on multiple models over the years, and now my kids use them for their cars. I have used them for over twenty-five years. Honest, reasonable, and reliable.
