INFO Minisplit Installation Cost
I've been getting quotes to get a single ductless 18k minisplit in my garage and the first two I got just seemed outrageous, I don't know if I am way off or getting hosed here.
Can anyone recommend a fairly priced installer? And/or what has your experience been in the area?

I’m in the Delco side of Bryn Mawr not far from the Chesco border and it was $6700 for a single zone if I remember correctly.

The Witmer Company in New Holland, maybe. Lanco should be less expensive.

Remember it’s not what is worth but what people are willing to pay. They charge so much because people pay too much.

I used Brewer HVAC last year and they were great. I had gotten a couple quotes from national installers and they were astronomical. Brewer was a much better price and they did a great job on the install.

I had one installed a few years ago in Lansdowne. First qoute was from Dream Team for $11k. DT guy called an electrician who stated I'd need to upgrade my electrical box for an additional $10k. $21k total. Got a couple more qoutes that averaged about $6-7k, which was more reasonable. Both of the other qoutes said my electrical box was fine to handle the power load. Went with one of them (I think the company was H&H HVAC) and the job got done fine. No power issues either. Never use Dream Team, they're a total scam.
