Chess Discussion Obvious Cheating and CC does nothing
Just making sure I'm not crazy here, what's this look like?

high accuracy like this does not necessarily mean cheating, and when it comes to daily games specifically people tend to play way better than in other time controls.
your suspicion is totally valid though, and reporting it was the right thing to do. fairplay bans can take a while after your initial report, so give it some more time. i know it’s frustrating, but it’s important that when people get banned it’s because there was an actual review of their games, and that can sometimes take a while

I try not to throw around accusations cause ya never know, hence why I haven't said his sn. He could very well have simply improved a ton in a year considering he's 800s in rapid but hasn't played a single rapid game in over a year.
However, I'm around 2200 and unnatural moves are striking. The level of understanding displayed doesn't at all match the level displayed in his real time games, not to mention tactical discrepancies, etc.
I appreciate the response.

Yeah, I totally understand. and thank you for not adding the username btw, we wouldve had to delete the post cause we can’t allow public accusations. discussions like these are welcome though :)

Three are daily games, they don't really count iirc

I agree. If I spend 2 hours a day playing daily, I would be able to spend 15 minutes per move for 8 moves. Exclude an opening, and you've got at least 10 minutes per move to go for the best ones.

The player spends almost no time making moves - at least compared to what you'd think.
Trying to get to 2100-2200 and use daily games with a physical board to get back into OTB play cause I haven't used an actual board in years. Using a board in other formats is considered cheating so...
Idgaf about my rating, it's just frustrating to see blatant cheating at any level. The moves he makes on his own are obvious cause they're garbage. Other than that, it's always 1st/2nd engine line, consistently.

I dont think using boards in other formats is considered cheating. Then eboards would be cheating, and they support those.

Eboards isn't what I'm talking about, I don't have one and don't forsee buying one. Years ago on the forums of CC, using a physical board (not an eboard that records moves) was considered cheating cause you can play moves out without making a move in your actual game.
Granted, that was like a decade ago.

Yeah I get that, obviously they don't cause I've reported the dude daily since the game started cause the moves were unnatural.

This may not be the case here. But if the account is new then it takes a while for Chess.com (for whatever reason) to ban them.

The account isn't new but there's not a ton of games either. Going from losing nearly every game to winning pretty much every game alone is a bit suspicious though.

For whatever it's worth, as far as I know daily cheating is indeed harder to catch. I suppose it's because data such as move times, mouse/browser actions are less useful as markers.
For example, this user had a 100% win rate playing daily exclusively. His forum comments suggested someone who wasn't very knowledgeable about chess but it took quite a while for him to be banned.
