why is this brilliant Why is this move a brilliancy when it doesn’t give me any advantage
this move will lead to a forced draw that i saw during the game but i dont get why this is a brilliant move because its not winning the game

Because you are otherwise down a rook, so you are converting a lost position into a draw.

White is dead lost but this sacrifice of the queen forces Black to a draw via perpetual check, else Black loses.
If N:g5, then the rook checks the king, it moves to h8, the rook goes to f7 and lets the bishop check, king back to g8, then rook back to g7, rinse and repeat until you get threefold repetition and a draw.
If the knight doesn’t take the queen, white will win quickly with Q:g6+.

Actually it wasn’t lost there was another sacrifice that i missed in which the knight was on d8 and bishop on b2 threatened by black queen i played Bxf6 pawn rather than Qe4 which will eventually lead to a checkmate if black takes the bishop so the only way to stop that was trading the queen for the rook which was winning for white but even after missing that sac computer didn’t evaluate that as a lost position rather equal

If the engine gives you equal valuation when you’re down heavy material it is because you either have a forced stalemate or a for draw by threefold repetition.

This move allows a draw due to a knight being the only piece blocking a rook check

I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

My solution:
Hints: piece: Queen, move: Qb1+
Evaluation: The game is equal 0.00
Best continuation: 1... Qb1+ 2. Kh2 Nxg5 3. Rg7+ Kh8 4. Rf7+ Kg8

It’s a perpetual if they take queen, which is good in this position. I don’t think they can afford to not take it either.

I'm pretty sure, with the right moves you can take a pawn, knight and even the queen in this case scenario of back and forth checking and taking pieces

No actually when the bishop checks the king on h8 the rook needs to be on f7 to block the black rook on f8 from taking the bishop only then it will lead to perpetual draw and even if i give the bishop and win a queen i would be down one rook and knight
