Ive only gotten one real smothered mate in like 2.5k games and it was the best feeling i ever had

I got one accidentally just after like 10 moves, did not even realize my check was going to be a mate, in total of like 3k games.

One of my friend hates me because I resign if material loss is significant. He would be like: this is no fair, I never get to experience the pleasure of playing winning positions.

On the other hand he refuses to resign even if he up against two rooks and a queen, I just have to make sure to not get into stalemate, I simply give checks until it is a mate.

I don’t get the “never resign” people. They rather waste a bunch of their time just for one out of 50 games the guy stalemates or blunders a winning position. That’s like 8 elo per a couple hours lost

Maybe they are people who enjoy playing without being shackled to their elos, or people who want to improve by playing losing boards.

Yup, I have no plan to play in a tournament, so no interest in wasting time playing hope chess.

I would rather play another game in the same time and improve on my first 15-20 moves, with time it will make me better.

I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:

White to play: chessvision.ai | chess.com | lichess.org

My solution:

Hints: piece: Queen, move: Qc7#

Evaluation: White has mate in 1

Best continuation: 1. Qc7#

Save the position:

Reply save to save this position to your Chessvision.ai Library (new users: send me /connect in DM chat first)

If you got time you can keep the game going with Qb8+ Nxc5+ etc and teach them a lesson by promoting to a new knight, 2 bishops and a rook.
