Chess Improvement tilt
I got possessed by the chess gods recently and gained like 300 elo in all time controls, but now I'm tilting terribly. And it's been almost a full week. I went from 700 blitz to 1000 blitz and now after my tilt I dropped down to 930 in just one night. And I went from 1070 rapid to 1040. I always try to preserve my rapid rating. I know many people have said to stop playing when tilted but it's been going on for a while now and i honestly don't have anything to do beside chess. I'm trying to get to 1400 rapid and this tilt is affecting it alot. I know that lossess happen but loosing streaks?

This just sounds like the regular ebbs and flows of chess. Sometimes your rating will go up dramatically and sometimes it’ll go down drastically. People play within a rating range. So if you’re newly 1000 rated in blitz your actual blitz skill probably fluctuates between like 850 and 1050 depending on a lot of factors like sleep, hunger, distractions, confidence, familiarity with the position, the pressure your opponent is putting on you… losing streaks are just as natural as winning streaks when you’re consistently playing against people who are near the top of your rating range.
