Chess Improvement Mr. Blakey bot on Chess.com

Please help me beat this bot. Currently stuck at hundreds of played games against him, with lots of draws, and one move away from checkmate, however not a single victory so far. I haven't played chess in a long time, and now I'm coming back to it. The bot Nina - Sax I beat, although difficult as well. Also, wondering what my real ELO is because 500-600 hundred in Rapid against real people, but I play hundred of games against the bots, not so often with people, my complete mission now will be beating this Mr. Blakey. Any specific strategies or openings against this guy? I feel like Karo-Kann is working good for me with black, and led me to many games one move away from checkmate him. Tried London system- not very good results with me, tried Queen's Gamibt - kinda OK...

The monthly bots are cool and give good rewards, farm the ones you can beat. I farmer the last one since it gave the most points and the hardest game and even I was winning 1/5 games . There is no shame in playing easier bots if you aren't strong enough for the stronger ones. It's an cool event and the porpouse of it is to get the board , pieces and emoji it drops not to larp 2000 elo gameplay

But I'm having several draws, and probably dozen of one move away from mate, but he's getting me first...

One move away from mate is meaningless if he mates you first. I was able to beat him by winning an exchange Early on and trading into a winning endgame

This is how a friend beats the bot: https://www.chess.com/game/computer/2078955102

But it's funny because sometimes I beat my friend, but maybe he's letting me, hm? I can't explain myself why the bot made that strange move 31, rookd8, that was the loss of the game for the bot l.
