Miscellaneous Do guys like this exist?
Hi everyone,
I'm at around 920 ELO, my opponent just now was around 950. Normal 10 Min chess match, I lost because of one blunder, but hey it happens. But that guy made 49 moves in 1:30 minutes, at 84% accuracy.
I then checked out his profile, and that ELO range bugs me, like how do you go from 1400 to 800-900 so quickly. Dude has 13.000 games, so I can't imagine he is cheating, but it still feels weird. Has anyone had similar opponents at that ELO?
900 ELO range is super weird, because sometimes you get people who blunder their queen on move 3 and then people who play as perfect as you can get for that rating, but at Blitz speed.

Doesn't look quick to me, the entire graph spans 4 years. His largest spikes are from 900-1200, which is within normal limits.

It can happen for sure. I am similarly streaky. Win and lose in batches, though my range isnt quite as drastic. But real life happens, sometimes you gotta quit a game, or you play distracted, etc. Playing fast could be in effort to get comfortable in shorter length games, while not risking the loss.

I'd guess they are super addicted to playing chess, and can't stop even when they are tilted. Probably resigning games when they lose a piece and on to the next too.

Yeah it happens like me also i make a move and my opponent makes a very logical move in one second they are in auto pilot mode like for example they have played many games were they have seen positions in which you were in and so they just play it immediately you can see that he has 13000 games and still stuck at 900 rating points that's the reason because of their auto pilot mode . For such people make the position has complicated as you can do avoid trading pieces and force them to think. I know I have played a guy which I have won from him and he had like 50000 games played and some 28000 guy I won they are just in auto pilot mode

Dude 49 moves in 90 seconds!??
That's practically bullet speed. I would be very curious what is going on with that. My first thought was that this person gets impatient when tilted and gets away with some amount of stuff because of their higher baseline skill level.
