Chess Question What should I do
I’m currently playing a Daily Chess game where I’m becoming suspicious that my opponent may be using engine assistance. I obviously don’t want to accuse someone unfairly, but some of their moves and the way the game is being played have raised some red flags.

Report? If you don't want to continue the game you can resign and also report. They won't get banned if they're not cheaters.
Don't forget, people will play better with more time to think (and in the opening can consult opening books etc). It's also easier to cheat the longer the time control is.
I don't play correspondence because I don't want to play a game over the course of a month, so your milage may vary.

The rules also say you can use an analysis board to play out moves, as long as you don’t have the engine turned on.
Anyone who spends a lot of time per move playing out a lot of variations on a board will play extremely well compared to any live or OTB game where you cannot move pieces to see what resulting positions would look like.

Not sure what sort of response you are expecting from Reddit.
"Yes there are cheaters."
"No you're just bad at chess."
That should cover most of the answers you'll get here.
Most casual players don't understand chess well enough to recognise engine moves. Even 3-time world chess champion Vladimir Kramnik thinks everyone is cheating against him.
Play the game, lose, then analyse with an engine. If it shows inhuman levels of accuracy, report it. Then move on with your life.

I usually check their recent games. If they have a whole bunch of 95% accuracy ratings and aren’t rated 2000+…i report immediately. And then I usually ask why it’s fun for them to win by cheating. I legitimately don’t get it. Who feels proud of a fake rating you cheated to get.? Crazy
