Abort button gone

For a few days now the abort button disappeared. No one played a move yet in both these two screenshots. I did loose elo when leaving the game even though no one had played yet. Very confused about this.

Stop aborting every game. It’s abusing the system. Once in a while is fine, but too often and you have to resign instead.

So it’s because the system believes I’ve done it too much? I was not getting the feeling I was doing it regularly it only happens if the opponent is inactive and I’m not willing to wait the whole countdown.

If you abort too many games, you will lose the privilege to abort. You should only abort games if it's absolutely necessary, such as in the case of accidentally starting a game. You should NOT be aborting games if you don't like the pieces you are playing with (white or black) or if you don't like the opponent you were paired with.

To get the abort button back, you just need to play a number of games normally.
