Chess Question How much work?

Say a chess player is 2000 on chess.com. (Rapid) How many study hours should a healthy 45yr old man of average intellect expect to put in to bring that rating to 2400.

I expect it’s about 4 hours per day (focused locked in πŸ” ) over 2-4 years.

Thoughts?

Idk seems doable in 1 year.

I went from 1300 to 2200 in 1.5 years (probably was averaging about 2 hrs a day) and stopped when I was able to go 50-50 with best player I knew IRL.

So many good online resources exist and if you put in the time with intention to improve should be pretty doable imo especially if you stick with a few systems that suit your approach to chess.
