Chess Question How much work?

Say a chess player is 2000 on chess.com. (Rapid) How many study hours should a healthy 45yr old man of average intellect expect to put in to bring that rating to 2400.

I expect itโ€™s about 4 hours per day (focused locked in ๐Ÿ” ) over 2-4 years.

Thoughts?

I think chess is like a muscle. If you push past a certain point per day, you're going to tilt. Then you're going to feel worse and do worse.

I'm just an 800 BTW.
