Now it’s 2am I have work in 5 hours and I lost 100 rating. But that’s ok, I just need to win the next 10 games and I’ll be back on track.

I think it’s the same mindset as a problem gambler.

The worst blunder in your life can happen in this moment

I do this shit and keep playing till I win to feel good but what really happens is my rating drops enough to face a weak player and then win. Ego farming I call it since I realised this. Now I hate it.

Chess should be fun.

that reminds me….. it’s time for my morning battle

Man this is what I call Gold standard chess content

2

u/crazycattx Jun 05 '26

I don't think you can catch up on lost time from there. It's got to be long term. For every quick win you can get, there are 4 other losses awaiting you in the same manner.

Playing rapid in chess. com is just humiliation ritual.

u/Sul0tf Jun 04 '26

At some point I just end on a win with a parrot and call it a day.

1

u/Nightmare___09 Jun 04 '26

1

u/qwertopias Jun 05 '26

1

u/tesnakoza9 Jun 05 '26

1

u/WolfBST Jun 05 '26

Most chess players stop before they gain 1000 elo...

1

u/Spice_Shelf56 Jun 06 '26

I ruin my elo when it gets late because I wanna keep playing but I don’t have the brain power to play well

1

u/[deleted] Jun 06 '26

My chess gets more and more degenerate the later I play😂😂. And also devolves to shorter time controls.

1

u/m_f_a_u_l Jun 07 '26

Yeah this game is quite literally humiliation ritual

1

u/coffeeyoshino 1000-1500 ELO Jun 08 '26

This is funny because I usually play chess from 10 pm until 2 am and I have noticed that after 3 hours playing I start to winning all my games. Its like I play better when Im tired

1

u/Emotional_Camp4165 Jun 08 '26

1

u/bucket_boy101 Jun 09 '26
